RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat...till then reservation should remain
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat gave a big statement on wednesday (September 6) regarding
reservation, he said that as long as there is discrimination in the society, reservation should continue. According to news
agency PTI, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said in Nagpur, We have left our brothers behind in the social system. We did not
take care of them and this continued for 2000 years. Until we provide them equality, there has to be some special
treatment and reservation is one of them. For this reason reservation should continue till then. He further said in his
address in the program that as long as such discrimination remains. We Sanghwale i.e. RSS fully support the reservation
given in the constitution. Discrimination may not be visible, but it is prevalent in the society.
What did Mohan Bhagwat say?
RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat said that this is not only to ensure financial or political equality but also to give
respect. He said that if some sections of the society who data-faced discrimination have data-faced problems for 2000 years, then
why can't we (those who have not data-faced discrimination) data-face some problems for another 200 years? Actually, according
to the Constitution, Scheduled Castes (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST) get reservation due to discrimination on the basis of
caste. Following the recommendations of the Mandal Commission, Other backward classes (OBC) are also getting
reservation.
