PayCm Vs PayCs: Now, bjp Launches #PayCS Campaign Against Cong minister N Cheluvarayaswamy
The Congress' Pay cm campaign, directed against the then karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai of the bjp government, not only created ripples within the state but also reverberated at the national level. During that period, it caused embarrassment to the saffron party. It also played a part in their defeat in the recently held karnataka assembly elections 2023.
Now, the bjp has initiated a counter campaign against the congress in a similar manner, reminiscent of the Pay cm drive. The Pay CS campaign has been launched aimed at minister for Agriculture N. Cheluvarayaswamy who is accused of the bribery scam.
This development was shared on the bjp karnataka Supporters Group platform, accompanied by a tagline that reads, "We also have Paytm. Scan generously and pay the bribe. Thank you, Your corrupt Cheluvarayaswamy alias Bribe Swami."
This is not the first time that Cheluvarayaswamy has been accused of corruption. In 2022, he was accused of demanding a bribe from a KSRTC driver who was trying to get a job. However, the minister had denied these allegations at that time
The bjp is using the controversy surrounding Cheluvarayaswamy to attack the congress government. The party has launched a Pay CS campaign, which is a play on the Pay cm campaign that the congress launched against the bjp government in 2021. Previously, the overnight appearance of Pay cm posters on the streets of Bangalore during the bjp government's tenure, along with the 40% government campaign that led to both local and national embarrassment for the state administration, had garnered considerable media attention. The congress campaign and election strategy had been orchestrated by an organised team. The Pay CS campaign is calling on people to pay bribes to Cheluvarayaswamy through Paytm. The Pay CS campaign is just the latest in a series of attacks that the bjp has launched against the congress government. The party has also accused the government of mismanaging the economy and failing to deliver on its promises.
