Most of the people of this community live in Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur, Pune, Akola, Parbhani, Nanded, and Yavatmal districts. At the same time, according to experts, the people of this community have decisive votes in more than 40 assembly constituencies and the people of this community have influence on about 100 assembly constituencies. The bharatiya janata party is generally known for its upper-class leadership, but to change this image of the party, Vasantrao Bhagwat, with the help of Late Gopinath Munde, Pramod Mahajan, Pandurang Fundkar, Mahadev Shivankar and others in the 80s (Mali, Dhangar, Vanjari) came up with the formula.
