Baltimore Bridge Collapse: A cartoon made fun of indians - netizens are enraged!

Baltimore Bridge Collapse: A few days ago, on a famous bridge in the United States, a ship collided with it and it collapsed. In this case, it is said that the ship was operated by some Indians.

Six people are believed to have died after an out-of-control cargo ship collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore. While US President Joe Biden and many others have praised the indian crew on board, a 'racist' cartoon depicting the incident has created a storm.

The Singapore-flagged vessel lost power on tuesday and crashed into a concrete pillar supporting the bridge opposite it. Within seconds, almost the entire bridge collapsed. The vehicles on the bridge suddenly fell into the sea.

President Biden praised the ship's crew, most of whom were indians, whose immediate distress call saved many lives, he said. It was they who prompted the authorities to close the bridge to traffic, which he hailed as a life-saving measure.

But in a bid to express hatred against indians in this context, a US-based "webcomic" shared a cartoon depicting the incident. The animated video shows the ship's crew members, dressed only to the waist, and unkempt men.

In the cabin of the ship, the video is set to a conversation between some people with an indian accent, saying that this is what finally happened. It is purely a cartoon showing hatred towards Indians. The cartoon video went viral and got around 4.2 million views and 2000 comments.

The social media account has been criticized not only for portraying indians in a racist manner but also for undermining the ship's staff. indian economist Sanjiv Sanyal, who shared the cartoon, questioned whether the ship could have been piloted by a local pilot during the incident.

"At the time the ship hit the bridge, it would have had a local pilot. However, the ship's officers had alerted other authorities, so the casualties were relatively low. Even the mayor of the city thanked the indian crew for raising the alert to limit the casualties, he said, calling them "heroes". He pointed out. It is also worth noting that the company that shared the cartoon has received severe criticism
