I am Too Honest for Bollywood - Janhvi Kapoor

S Venkateshwari
The year of janhvi kapoor must be this one. Three of the actor's films, including Dhadak from dharma productions (2018), are coming out in 2024. This is unique, particularly for Kapoor, who has always played the protagonist or the major character in her films rather than merely a supporting role as a love interest. Even so, the 26-year-old performer tells me she's not having the nicest day when we meet at her Bandra home. She frowns and says, "I just got the Devara dialogues last night, and all I want to do is sit in my room and learn my lines."

Without a doubt, the largest movie she has been contracted for is the telugu movie Devara. She plays the lead role in this big-budget action movie, which was directed by koratala siva, against the renowned N.T. Rama Rao Jr. Given that she is the daughter of India's first female celebrity, Sridevi, who starred in every South Asian film as well as Hindi, one would find it strange that telugu lines give her anxiety.

"I feel embarrassed that I never learned telugu," she declares. I am unable to pronounce it, but I can comprehend it phonetically. Yes, that is among my most regretted things. She now believes that the movie is helping her connect with her south indian heritage. This aspect of me has been dormant for some time. However, the Devara crew is really helpful and patient. She says, "They are working with such stalwarts and I am really appreciative that they can help me with my lines at any time. prashant raj and saif ali khan co-star in the movie as well.
