Bangalore: The job market in india will start growing again in 2024. Many employees lost their jobs due to companies that had been announcing layoffs for some time. But now there is a new surge in the job market again. The report "India at Work 2024" by Apna Dot Co. has reported that job applications in india have increased by up to 27 percent.

It is also said that more than 2 crore applications were received for various jobs in 2024. Residents of metropolitan cities like Chennai, Bangalore, and hyderabad have applied for about 60 lakh job opportunities. These applications have increased especially in the IT sector, retail, BFSI, and service-related sectors. In addition, 82 lakh applications have been received in regions like Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Bihar.


Apna Dot Com is a job portal. Of the 3.7 million applicants, 45 percent are from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. According to a report by Apna.com, female applicants have applied for 2.8 crore job openings.


The number of female applicants has increased by 20 percent in 2024 compared to 2023. 1.52 crore applications were received in Tier 1 cities like delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, and 1.28 crore applications were received in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities like Jaipur, Lucknow, and Bhopal. The report also said that 5,000 female graduates are joining the job portal Apna on a daily basis.


Nirmit Parikh, CEO and founder of Apna said that the recruitment process has changed due to the growth of 45 percent of small and micro enterprises and resume optimization features used by 77 percent of job seekers.


Job seekers are increasingly using artificial intelligence technology to tailor their resumes to the job description. The report also said that the number of job posting platforms has increased by more than 1.2 million by 2024. This is a growth of about 20%. In 2024, the number of job postings published on the Apna.com website alone increased by 32 percent. Out of this, more than 3.5 lakh job-related posts were shared in more than 100 categories in more than 500 cities. The report highlights the transformation of the country's hiring process. The transformation of the job market has given peace of mind to both fresh graduates and those who have already lost their jobs.
