PM Modi trails by over 6,000 votes

With the election of their candidate, mukesh Dalal, to the gujarat Lok Sabha constituency of Surat, without a challenge, the bjp now has one seat. Due to purported inconsistencies, the nominations of congress candidate Nilesh Kumbhani and backup candidate suresh Padsala were denied. mukesh was the only contender remaining after eight others, including Pyarelal Bharti of the Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) and an independent, withdrew their candidature.
 

The election commission of india reports that the bjp is in the lead in 30 seats. aam aadmi party is leading in two seats, while indian national congress is leading in ten. In the Mandi constituency, actress and bjp candidate kangana ranaut is ahead by 2,000 votes. The congress has four seats in Karnataka, the bjp three, and the JD(S) two. pralhad joshi of the bjp is ahead in the Dharwad seat by 557 votes. In Mysuru, the BJP's Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar is ahead by 3,428 votes.
 

Trends from postal ballot counting at 8:40 am showed that Modi had beyond Congressman ajay Rai, his closest challenger from Varanasi, while Singh had surpassed SP's Ravidas Mehrotra. In Rae Bareli, gandhi was ahead of bjp candidate Dinesh Pratap Singh, and in Kannuaj, Yadav was ahead of bjp candidate Subrat Pathak. According to the most recent information available on the election Commission's website, ajay Rai, a candidate for congress, is ahead by 6223 votes. In the rear is prime minister Narendra Modi.
