In comparison to previous summer, the cost of these protein orbs has increased due to a scarcity in Hyderabad. On May 4 of last year, the price per 100 units of eggs was Rs 420; this year, it is Rs 445. Experts in the market blame rising temperatures and increased rates of chicken death for this.

"The market price per 100 units has gone up by about Rs 95 in the previous four days. The reason for this is that the summer heat has caused a decrease in productivity. Abdul Raoos, a third-generation egg vendor in the city, said that last year's rains in several areas of the nation kept the rates low.
