Sudipta Bhattacharya, the spokesperson for the Visva Bharti university Faculty Association, emphadata-sized the importance of conducting a prompt and thorough investigation into the allegations.

However, the accused professor denied any wrongdoing, asserting that he was unaware of the situation and that any communication with students via whatsapp was solely for academic purposes. He expressed disbelief at the accusations, stating that he has been teaching at the university for an extended period and has never data-faced such allegations before. The professor maintained that his interactions with students were strictly professional and denied any personal involvement beyond academics.
