Telangana Hyderabad - 7 of 23 score perfect 100 in JEE-Main

The National Testing Agency said on saturday that 23 individuals, most of whom were from Telangana, had received a perfect score of 100 in the first iteration of the engineering entrance test JEE-Main. More than 11.70 lakh applicants took the first attempt at this important test. Seven applicants from Telangana, two from Haryana, three from Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra, two from Delhi, and one each from Gujarat, Karnataka, and tamil Nadu are among the 100 NTA scorers.
 

Officials from the NTA state that normalized scores, not percentages of marks earned, constitute the NTA score.
 
"NTA results are based on the relative performance of all individuals who took the test in a single session and are normalized scores across multi-session examinations. According to a senior official, the scores earned are translated into a scale that runs from 100 to 0 for each exam session.
 
Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, tamil, Telugu, and urdu were among the languages in which the examination was administered.
 

Aside from India, the examination was also held in Singapore, kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Moscow, Ottawa, Port Louis, Bangkok, Washington, D.C., Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, and kuwait City.
 
The first three locations were Oslo, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi.
 
The exam was administered in january and february the first time around, and a second administration is planned for April. Candidates will be shortlisted to take the JEE-Advanced test, which is a one-stop exam to get admission into the 23 prestigious indian Institutes of technology (IITs), based on their performance in JEE-Mains Papers 1 and 2.
