On the eve of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's 49th birthday, wishes have been heaped on him. There were no t20 matches during the Vivian Richards era. During Tendulkar's time, there were not so many t20 matches. Tendulkar has played in only one international t20 tournament in his life. His runs are 10. But Sachin has made the same record in the T20s as he has in the Tests, in the IPL.
T20 matches are all for youngsters. Tendulkar played in his first season of the IPL in the 35th season of the IPL, despite being sidelined by an injury. Tendulkar played in only 7 matches. He scored 364 runs in the season in south africa and made everyone look back.
But it was not until 2010 that he proved to be the king of the t20 tournament as well. Tendulkar won the orange cap for the year, scoring 618 runs in 15 matches.
With this, Tendulkar holds the record for the fastest indian to cross the 1,000-run mark in IPL history.In T20I too, Sachin is the only batsman to score 2334 runs in 78 matches.
This includes one hundred. Thus, Sachin is proving to be the king not only in Tests and ODIs but also in T20s. Many Celebrities and cricketers have congratulated Sachin on his birthday.
