Justice still in queue for Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev : Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi

Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi who heads Bhagat Singh Memorial foundation in Pakistan has filed a PIL in Lahore High Court to reopen the 2013 Saunders Murder case. Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi is a Lahore-based advocate and he has been trying consistently to prove that Indian Revolutionary leader Bhagat Singh was hanged wrongly.



The advocate said it was a huge task to file the FIR. He also said he got the FIR only after filing a compliance petition in the Lahore High COurt. The FIR was written in Urdu and was filed at the Anarkali Police station on December 17, 1928, at 4.30pm.


Qureshi said, "I wanted to have a copy of the FIR filed, but the police asked me to pay bribe. I refused and filed a complinace petition with the Lahore High Court. This copy was so important and even the judges asked me for a copy of it." Qureshi said that the British Queen Elizabeth II should apologize for hanging the three men.
