Actor shekhar suman is in the news these days for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web series 'Hiramandi The Diamond Bazaar'. These days the actor is busy in its promotion. Recently, the actor, who came to promote the web series, in a conversation spoke openly about the disease due to which his elder son Ayush had died.
When Shekhar Suman's first son said goodbye to this world, he was only 11 years old. He was suffering from a disease called National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD). This disease affects the heart. Shekhar has spoken openly about the pain he went through while spreading awareness about the disease and losing his son.
He said, 'This is such a rare disease that it affects only one in a billion. As far as I know, there may be only three or four cases in India. Unfortunately, there is no cure for it. A heart transplant is the only option. Recalling his son, Shekar said that when he took Ayush to the hospital, he held him in his arms. Then the doctor told them that he was no more.
The actor said, 'I lay with her body the whole night, the whole day, and cried a lot. Alka also cried a lot, but eventually, she calmed down. What could be greater pain and sorrow for parents than having to perform the last rites of their child? He said, 'We hoped that time would ease the pain as the wounds would heal. But our pain increased further.
Shekhar suman said that he had left no stone unturned to save his son. It was a miracle that he survived not for eight months but for four years. Shekhar and his wife would lose sleep at night just by looking at their son's data-face. The actor said that he also felt that he was dying every moment along with his son.
