It is a known fact that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has been facing
criticism that he is only encouraging foreign companies in his plans for
construction of Amravati. The state government had reportedly decided
to involve Indian companies as well now in Amaravati construction.
There
are reports that the Central government will be providing the funding
for four key Government buildings in Amaravati like Assembly, High court
of AP, Raj Bhavan and Secretariat according to the commitments made in
the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act.
Chandrababu
Naidu is expecting to even allot two buildings to Indian companies and
the rest two to international developers. Assembly and High Court are
expected to be designed by international architects and developers. Raj
Bhavan and Secretariat would be designed and developed by local
companies.
The state government has started the
hunt for the expert architects and developers. The construction is
expected to start from June 2016 and state government is hoping to
complete these buildings before December 2018, to showcase them as TDP
achievements for 2019 elections.
