Reportedly maharashtra Samajwadi party President Abu Asim Azmi made a big statement on monday (16 December). He said that SP will fight mumbai Municipal Corporation elections alone. He also said that Samajwadi party cannot stay with those who spread hatred.

Earlier recently, Abu Azmi had announced his separation from Mahavikas Aghadi. He wrote on his X handle, "It is acceptable for Samajwadi party to go alone in maharashtra, but it is not acceptable to be a part of shiv sena UBT's communal ideology while being in maha Vikas Aghadi."

Moreover in fact, shiv sena UBT leader Milind Narvekar had posted a post about Babri demolition. After which Abu Azmi decided to separate from MVA. Azmi said, "A leader of shiv sena (UBT) posted a message on social media, claiming credit for the demolition of babri masjid (1993) to the party. How can we tolerate this. SP is in favour of protecting secular values, democracy and the Constitution and hence it will not support any party that adopts a communal approach." Abu Azmi said in a stern tone, "He should understand that such posts hurt sentiments and are against unity, secularism and respect for all communities. We are here to promote harmony among all sections, not to divide people."
