58-year-old Indian-American astronaut Sunitha Williams launched into space aboard a Boeing Starliner rocket from Cape Canaveral, florida on june 5. He was accompanied by another nasa astronaut, Barry Wilmore.

The Boeing Starliner capsule arrived safely at the international Space Station on Thursday. The video of Sunitha Williams entering the space station and dancing with excitement has gone viral. In a video released by Boeing Space, Williams can be seen exiting the capsule. In zero gravity on the international Space Station, Sunita makes a dancing entry. Then, he hugs the other astronauts and shares the joy.

Sunitha Williams, who traveled to space aboard the Starliner, set a historic record by piloting the space shuttle on its maiden voyage. Williams has previously completed two space missions and spent a total of 322 days in space. He traveled to the international Space Station in 2006-2007 and 2012, holding the record for the most number of spacewalks. He had done 7 spacewalks for a total of 50 hours and 40 minutes.

The Starliner capsule will remain attached to the space station for about 26 hours. It will then carry more than 500 pounds of cargo with Williams and Wilmore to an orbital outpost. The two astronauts will stay there for about a week, conducting tests and checking the Starliner's systems. After returning to Earth, they are scheduled to land in the western united states with the help of a parachute.

Williams' father was an American of gujarat origin. Mother is a native of Slovenia. During previous space missions, sunita williams carried objects representing her Indo-Slovenian heritage into space.
