Actually, shankar Lalwani has served as a Member of parliament in the 17th lok sabha from indore since 2019. He also previously held the post of Chairman in indore Development Authority. Mother Gori Devi Lalwani was a housewife

Shankar Lalwani was born on 16 october 1961 in Indore. His father Jamnadas Lalwani came to indore before the partition of undivided India. Jamnadas Lalwani was active in RSS even after coming to Indore. He was in Jansangh party and was active in social work. He was also the President of Sarafa Association in madhya pradesh for many years. shankar Lalwani's mother Gori Devi Lalwani was a housewife.


Won by about 5 lakh 47 thousand votes

Shankar Lalwani passed Higher Secondary examination from madhya pradesh Board of Secondary Education, then studied B.Tech from Mumbai, then came to indore and started business and consultancy. He was a councilor in indore Municipal Corporation from 1994 to 1999. After this, he held the post of Chairman of indore Municipal Corporation for 5 years from 1999 to 2004. He was made the Chairman of indore Development Authority in the year 2013. In 2019, when the bharatiya janata party gave him a lok sabha ticket, the bharatiya janata party won by a historic margin of about 5 lakh 47 thousand votes over its nearest rival congress Party. He has been elected mp again with a huge majority for the second time.
