Minor's parents sent to police custody till june 5 by court…

A court in pune on sunday sent the parents of a 17-year-old boy allegedly involved in a porsche car accident to police custody till june 5 in a case of destruction of evidence. Both are being investigated for their alleged role in replacing the minor's blood sample after the car accident in Maharashtra's pune city on May 19. Two IT professionals lost their lives in this accident.

The minor accused's mother Shivani Agarwal was arrested on june 1 after it was revealed that the minor's blood sample was replaced with that of the mother. The accused's father and real estate businessman Vishal Agarwal have been arrested for being involved in destroying evidence in the case.

Sent to police custody

The police produced the minor's parents in a court here and requested their remand. Both were sent to police custody till june 5. police told the court that the Agrawal couple conspired to destroy evidence related to the accident.

Should be sent to judicial custody

According to the police, they went to a government hospital and manipulated the blood samples of the minor. The couple's lawyer Prashant Patil said that the police have searched their house and recovered CCTV footage installed at their house. Patil said that they have been booked under IPC section 201 (destruction of evidence of crime), which is a bailable offence, so the couple should be sent to judicial custody.
