6 home Guard jawans die due to heat wave in Mirzapur


The havoc of scorching heat and heat wave continues in Uttar Pradesh. It is looking very difficult to do election duty amid the scorching heat. 13 people have died in Mirzapur due to heat. Out of this, 6 are home Guard jawans. A total of 23 jawans were admitted to the trauma center of the divisional hospital due to heat wave and deteriorating health due to election duty. This includes 20 home guards, one fire service, one PAC and one police jawan.

Common people are also troubled by heat and heat wave. Voting for the seventh phase for lok sabha elections 2024 is scheduled to be held on Saturday. There are reports of 200 deaths across the country due to heat and heat wave. So far, 6 home Guards have lost their lives in Mirzapur alone, while 20 soldiers are still admitted in the hospital.

Apart from this, a sub-inspector has also died during election duty in Rae Bareli. The weather department has predicted that heat and heat wave will continue to wreak havoc in almost the whole of Uttar Pradesh on saturday as well. For now, people will have to wait for the rain to bring relief.
