The former PM has said that Modi is the first prime minister of the country who has lowered the level of both dignity and seriousness of the post of PM. The former PM has written a letter to the people of punjab before the voting on the last phase (1 June) of the lok sabha elections 2024. In this letter, Ex PM manmohan singh has made serious allegations against prime minister narendra Modi. He has also said in his letter that the last phase is the last chance to save our Constitution and democracy.

Before the last phase of voting, manmohan singh wrote a letter on thursday and appealed to the people of punjab to 'vote for Congress.' He has written in his two-page letter that, 'Modi government has also cheated the farmers.'

'The Modi government had promised to double the income of farmers by 2022, but has done the opposite. At present, the income of farmers has decreased instead of doubling. Our farmer families have become dependent on savings.'

With this, the former PM put forward the Congress's Nyaya Patra and said that the congress has given 5 guarantees for farmers. These include a legal guarantee of MSP, a stable export-import policy for agriculture, loan waiver and others.

In the last 10 years, narendra modi and bjp have continuously wounded punjab, Punjabis and Punjabiat.

The guarantees of congress will act as a balm for the wounds of the entire country including Punjab.

Former PM manmohan singh has also termed many decisions of the Modi government as wrong. According to manmohan singh, 'The decision of the central government on GST and demonetization was wrong.'

He further writes in his letter that, 'This decision of the Modi government has caused a lot of damage to the economy and unemployment has also increased in the country.'

Last phase, last chance to save the Constitution

Ex PM manmohan singh, while addressing the people of punjab in his letter, writes, 'The last phase of voting, we have the last chance to save democracy and the Constitution. If we use our vote wisely this time, then we can root out an autocratic rule.'

Attacking the Modi government, manmohan singh wrote that we Punjabis are warriors, known for the spirit of sacrifice. Our harmony, cordiality and innate faith in the democratic system can protect our great nation.
