The Enforcement Directorate, which is investigating the delhi liquor policy case, arrested chief minister arvind kejriwal on march 21. Arvind Jegriwal had filed a petition in the supreme court challenging his arrest and seeking bail in this case.

The supreme court, which heard the petitions, granted interim bail to arvind kejriwal on the 10th despite strong opposition from the enforcement department. The supreme court barred kejriwal from doing any work for the chief minister and ordered him to surrender on june 2. Meanwhile, the supreme court rejected Kejriwal's plea seeking interim bail till june 4, when the election results will be announced.

In this situation, delhi chief minister arvind kejriwal has filed a petition in the supreme court seeking an extension of the interim bail by 7 days. Citing serious health concerns in the petition, he has mentioned that medical tests including weight loss of 7 kg, increase in ketone level and PET-CT scan should be done.

Subsequently, delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's side requested the supreme court to hear his plea urgently. However, the vacation bench of the supreme court refused to urgently hear delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea seeking extension of interim bail by one week.

Earlier, the medical team of Max Hospital has already conducted preliminary tests. Kejriwal's side has requested the court to extend the interim bail to carry out the necessary medical tests as these tests are important. According to the current supreme court verdict, arvind kejriwal has to surrender and return to tihar jail on june 2.
