The heat is increasing in Haryana-Punjab. The mercury has crossed 46 degrees Celsius in Punjab. Because of this the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert. According to the Meteorological Department, there doesn't seem to be any respite from the heat right now. Nautapa is also going to start on 25th May. If we talk about haryana, the maximum temperature in most of the districts of the state is above 45 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Sirsa was recorded at 47.01 degrees Celsius.

Red alert issued in these districts of Punjab

Red alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in Bathinda, Mansa, Fazilka, Muktsar of Punjab. Along with this, Orange Alert has also been issued in 19 districts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is going to remain like this till May 20. Along with this, Nautapa is going to start in amritsar from 25th May, which means the temperature is going to increase continuously during these days. Nautapa is going to run here from 25th May to 2nd June. The temperature in amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Mohali of punjab is expected to be around 44 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Heat will increase for 5 more days

According to the Meteorological Department, heat is going to increase for 5 more days in Chandigarh, haryana and Punjab. Along with this, people will also have to data-face heat wave. From 10 am to 5 pm, leave the house only if absolutely necessary. In summer, wear only light cotton clothes, keep drinking water continuously and do not remain on an empty stomach. The heat wave may remain at its peak in haryana till May 31. With increasing heat, electricity consumption is also increasing.
