India's Deal with Russia..!? Cut-ties with China..!?

All countries have agreed to create a better framework to promote the development of the electric vehicle technology sector and reduce crude oil imports. A fundamental requirement to achieve this goal is lithium, which is the source of batteries for electric vehicles. With the discovery of lithium reserves in india, india is in talks with various countries to acquire refining technology for this. In this effort, india is simultaneously trying to sideline china and move closer to Russia. 90 percent of the batteries required for electric vehicles manufactured in India are imported from China. india aims to reduce its dependence on china for electric batteries and become self-sufficient in lithium refining.

As a first step towards this, it has been reported that the Ministry of Mines of india started talks with australia and the US last year to get help in lithium refining technology with the source of lithium ore. Also, according to reports, the indian government and some private companies have sought help from Bolivia, Britain, Japan, and south korea for lithium refining technology. The negotiations have not yet been officially announced in public.

Crucial to these negotiations, executives of TENEX, a unit of Russia's state-run nuclear power company Rosatom, have approached the indian government and held two consultative meetings so far. Both sides are exploring lithium refining technology and the possibility of working with indian companies. If this negotiation succeedsthen we can settle indian money in russia and Russian money in India. India, the world's third-largest carbon emitter and the largest importer of crude oil is leading the charge in lithium refining. Through this, a plan is being drawn up to domestically produce raw materials for the production of batteries for electric vehicles, reducing carbon emissions and reducing crude oil imports.
