This time elections for the 18th lok sabha are being held in the country. Like every time, this time's elections are also in the headlines due to many stories. Abhijeet has recently entered politics with VRS. Trinamool has fielded firebrand Debangshu Bhattacharya from here. Debangshu has come to Trinamool through student politics. To make the contest interesting, CPM has made Sayan Banerjee its candidate. Sayan also has the support of Congress. Sayan is a lawyer by profession. Sayan is continuously targeting Abhijeet. Out of 17, this seat has gone to CPM 7 times and congress 4 times. Trinamool has won here thrice.Trinamool's Divyendu Adhikari had won the Tamluk seat in 2019. Adhikari is now in the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party sent Adhikari to Kanthi's seat, while fielded Abhijeet from Tamluk. There are 7 assembly seats in Tamluk Lok Sabha. In the 2021 assembly elections, out of these 7, bjp won 3 and Trinamool won 4.
