There are 48 lok sabha seats in Maharashtra. bjp contested the elections in 2019 in alliance with the undivided shiv sena and fielded candidates on 25 seats. This time bjp wants to contest elections on more seats than this. On the other hand, both bjp and ncp are claiming Dharashiv, Gadchiroli, and Satara. On the other hand, the Nashik seat, which is currently held by shiv sena of Eknath Shinde group, is being claimed by both bjp and NCP.
