Congress's Rohan Gupta will not contest elections, reason?

He said that he will fully support the new candidate of the party. He said that due to his father's health he is unable to fulfill this responsibility. Rohan is the national spokesperson of the congress Party. He has conveyed his views through a letter to gujarat congress Working President Shaktisinh Gohil.

gujarat congress leader Jagdish Thakor had reiterated this sentiment of withdrawing from the election dispute. Through a video post, he had cited personal considerations and health concerns as his decision not to contest the lok sabha elections. He also expressed his commitment to rahul Gandhi's vision of strengthening the party by bringing in new data-faces.

When are the lok sabha elections in Gujarat?

Voting for all 26 lok sabha seats in gujarat will be held in a single phase on May 7. The nomination process will start from april 12 and the last date for filing nominations will be april 19, while the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place the next day. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is 22 April.
