Reportedly the Hindu community considers the SI-preserved 11th century monument Bhojshala in Dhar district to be a temple dedicated to Vagdevi (Goddess Saraswati), while the Muslim community calls it Kamal Maula Masjid. In this regard, ASI had made an important arrangement on 7 april 2003. Under this, the Hindu community will offer prayers in the Bhojshala premises on tuesday and the Muslim community will offer namaz in the premises on Friday. This system has been going on since then. On this issue, tension has arisen many times on religious issues. Regarding this, madhya pradesh high court on monday (11 March) has given a big decision regarding the controversial Bhojshala of Dhar. indore Bench of madhya pradesh high court has ordered ASI survey of Bhojshala. For this, the court directed ASI to form a five-member team.

Perhaps this decision has come on the petition filed by the social organization Hindu Front for Justice. Now you might be wondering what is this whole controversy? Regarding which an important decision of the high court has come. In fact, the Hindu community considers Bhojshala in Dhar district as the temple of Goddess Vagdevi, while the Muslims call it the mosque of Kamal Maula. Religious frenzy has arisen many times on this issue. Especially when Basant Panchami falls on a Friday, because Muslims offer namaz in the banquet hall and Hindus stand in queues to perform the puja. To understand this controversy you have to go back more than 1000 years.

In the pages of history, Dhar was ruled by the Parmar dynasty. During this period, raja Bhoj was the ruler of Dhar from 1000 to 1055 AD. The special thing was that king Bhoj was a great devotee of Goddess Saraswati. raja Bhoj established a college here in 1034. This college later came to be known as Bhojshala. Hindu religion has special faith in this. On the other hand, it is being claimed that Alauddin Khilji allegedly destroyed Bhojshala in 1305 AD. After this, in 1401 AD, Dilawar Khan built a mosque in a part of Bhojshala. After this, Mohammad Shah Khilji built another mosque in a different part of Bhojshala in 1514 AD.
