Spend some time visiting your neighbors, especially if they are old or disabled, to make sure they are aware of the weather and have taken the appropriate safety measures.
Reduce the amount of needless travel, especially when the weather is dangerous. Drive carefully, keeping in mind that there may be less visibility and slick roadways. Get alerts from the traffic police Department to stay updated about traffic congestion.
Avoid sharp items, garbage, sewage lines, manholes, gutters, and nalas. If you must cross water, use a stick to check if the ground is stable ahead.
Watch out for downed electrical lines and notify the local energy authority right away. All wires are presumed to be active and hazardous, including those that are buried and fastened to street light poles. Avoid coming into contact with electrical equipment when damp or submerged in water.
