Karnataka deputy cm DK Shivakumar said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology would be utilized to monitor traffic in Bengaluru as the city is having traffic snarls every now and then. In addition, he emphadata-sized that moving offenses would not be tolerated and asked commuters to abide by traffic laws.

During a road safety event held at Bengaluru's Kanteerva stadium, DK Shivakumar stated, "According to data from the National Crime Records Bureau, motorcycles are the primary cause of accidents in Karnataka, with the majority of riders losing their life in these incidents. When driving, it's crucial to abide by the law and wear a helmet. I still see many individuals on bikes without helmets and they must recognize that life is important. Traffic cops are already instructed by the government to not give a break to anyone who breaks traffic laws. In the last few months, nearly 6,000 driver's licenses have been revoked.

He added that they would be monitoring traffic in Bengaluru with cutting-edge equipment, which will include artificial intelligence (AI). Every day, thousands of additional cars enter the city, making traffic management in Bengaluru a difficult undertaking. Artificial Intelligence (AI) would be used to track the movements of cars and take appropriate action. We are collaborating with the BBMP to develop a strategy for improved traffic control. In order to apply comparable tactics here, the officials are also researching the traffic management techniques of wealthy countries, DK Shivakumar continued.

Drone cameras are already being used by Bengaluru police at eight major intersections in the city. Drone cameras are being used by traffic cops to help them locate the source of traffic congestion and free up space for moving cars.
