Taiwan's relations with china and the united states will be impacted by the outcome of the elections. It is dependent upon which political party's administration will have the presidency. Taiwan's relations with china may get worse or better depending on the outcome of the election. The global economy may be impacted as a result. Chinese Communist army beat Chang Kai. Following this, Chang Kai Shek (KMT) and his allies departed china for taiwan as the communists led by Mao Zedong seized control of Beijing. He imposed his will on Taiwan. But china asserted to the world that taiwan is a part of its territory and under its sovereignty.
