SC again disappointed Manish Sisodia, did not consider the petition

The supreme court has rejected the review petition filed by former delhi Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia

against the denial of bail in the alleged liquor policy scam case. A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN

Bhatti, in its order passed on Wednesday, said, We have carefully studied the review petitions and the grounds in

support thereof. In our opinion, no case is made out for review of the judgment dated october 30, 2023.

Therefore, The review petitions are dismissed. A two-judge bench of the supreme court refused to hear the

review petition orally and rejected it in chamber by circulation. Generally, review petitions filed under Article

137 of the Constitution are examined on very narrow grounds, such as errors of law, apparent error in record, etc.

There is truth in the claims of Rs 338 crore transfer.

On october 30, the apex court had refused to grant bail to the senior aam aadmi party leader facing corruption

and money laundering charges. While delivering the verdict, the apex court had said that even though many

questions remain unanswered in this case, one aspect regarding the transfer of Rs 338 crore is provisionally

established.

Finish the hearing in 6 to 8 months

The supreme court directed that Sisodia's trial be completed within six to eight months. Also said that if the case

progresses slowly in the next three months, then he can apply for bail afresh. Let us tell you that Sisodia was

arrested by cbi on 26 february this year and by ED on 9 March. Since then the former delhi Deputy is lodged in

Tihar Jail.
