Keerthi Suresh's 'Savitri' biopic is going to feature lots of Directors as Actors!
That biopic of legendary actress Savithri, the Telugu/ Tamil bilingual Mahanati / Nadigaiyar Thilagam starring Keerthy Suresh in the titular role and directed by Yevade Subrahmanyam fame Nag Ashwin, has been surprising every day with exciting announcements regarding new cast members.
While Veteran Mohan Babu has begun shooting his portions for Mahanati where he plays the legend, SV Ranga Rao, it has been revealed that, as a surprise move, Nag Ashwin has cast directors Krish and Tarun Bhasker of Pellichoopulu fame, as yesteryear popular makers KV Reddy and Singeetham Srinivasa Rao respectively.
It must be noted that Mahanati is bankrolled by Aswini Dutt in his Vyjayanthi movies banner, and also stars Dulquer Salmaan as Gemini Ganesan, Arjun Reddy heroine Shalini Pandey as Actress Jamuna, versatile Actor Prakashraj as Producer Chakrapani, besides Samantha as a journalist. The film will reportedly hit screens by mid-2018.
