Due to various reasons, other people are coming and joining the originally planned stars place. But that is a rare thing. So when something like that happens it becomes news. Now there is an official announcement that shruti haasan has joined the project after samantha agreed.

Also, the item song from the movie 'Pushpa' took her to the next level of stardom. On the other hand, she is acting in the hindi web series 'Citadel' with varun Dhawan. When it comes to movies, Sam's movie 'Shaakuntalam' in telugu got disaster talk. Currently, the telugu film 'Kushi' with rowdy star vijay deverakonda is just okay. After that, sam is ready to do an english movie. Now she has come out from this movie which is going to be released with the name of 'Chennai Story'. It seems to be a cross-cultural rom-com.
 Samantha was first announced as the heroine in ChennaiStory directed by Bafta Award winner Philip John. However, ShrutiHaasan, who recently scored a super hit with Salaar, has been roped in to replace samantha, who is staying away from films due to health issues. shruti will act alongside vivek Kalra of 'Blinded by the Light', 'Lift' fame. Artists like Kevin Hart, john Reno and sam Worthington from Ton will act in this film. The film will be made in Indo-UK co-production with the support of british Film Institute - UK Global Screen Fund. 'O Baby' producer Sunita Tati's Guru Films company is sharing a part in the production. Nimmi Harasgama is contributing the writing. The shooting of this movie, which is currently in the pre-production stage, seems to be planned in the cities of chennai and Cardiff.
