AGENT - Sakshi Vaidya is HOT and Glamorous, But...

G GOWTHAM
For a commercial role, sakshi Vaidya lacks a strong presence on the big screen. She doesn't do anything other than appear glamorous and appear in a few love scenes with the hero. She is ordinary even here. It speaks a lot about the performance and the character in the movie that she disappears in the second half and nobody seems to notice.
There are a few well-known actors in significant roles in Agent, but one can't help but wonder whether they were poorly chosen or weren't necessary for the position. We automatically see mammootty when we consider the latter. Any well-known character actor could take on the part. In the over-the-top action setup, he doesn't appear credible. Dino Moreo's portrayal as the villain is the same. Things become clear in the second half. varalakshmi sarathkumar is ineffective in her small role. Sathya and sampath are doing fine.
Surender reddy typically has good choice in music, and his previous collaboration with Hip Hop Tamizha produced a number-one album and a standout supporting score. Agent lacks all of those, and the album is a major letdown. Parts of the background music are decent, but it's loud and generic most of the time.
