There are reports that king Khan Shah Rukh has net assets worth over Rs 6500 crore worldwide. He also owns the most expensive house in Mumbai. The iconic sea-facing mumbai home `Mannat` has a market value of around Rs 300 crore. This house has become a popular landmark in Mumbai. Thousands of fans flock to this house every day to see their favorite hero, making it a tourist spot. According to the latest information, Shah Rukh-Gauri Khan is planning to add two more floors to this house located in the coastal zone. It is reported that Shah Rukh Khan's wife gauri khan, who is an interior designer, submitted an official application to the maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) in november 2024. According to this application, they are seeking permission to add two more floors to the existing `Mannat`. The MCZMA reviewed this application submitted by gauri khan in its latest meeting on december 10 and 11. But will the maharashtra government cooperate in the construction of these additional floors or not? What was the conclusion of the Coastal Zone Review? Details are not yet available.
If permission is given for the expansion of the house, Shah Rukh will have to spend another Rs. 25 crores for it. However, Mannat is an inherited property. It is also being analyzed that this process will not be easy for the star couple as `Mannat`, built in 1914, has the status of an inherited property. The Khan family home has a plot data-size of 2091.38 square meters. The Mannat building already has six floors. If two more floors are added, it will increase to eight floors. The building, which is worth around Rs 300 crores based on the current market value, has five bedrooms, a private cinema, a fitness hub, a swimming pool, a luxurious library, and a magnificent terrace. The Shah Rukh-Gauri Khan family has good relations with maharashtra Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. Therefore, it is being analyzed that getting Mannat extension permissions will not be difficult.
