This is Shraddha Kapoor's 'Magic Potion' That Do Wonders For Her Skin
Essential oils are Shraddha Kapoor's go-to skincare tool, as she disclosed in a recent interview with Elle. She revealed that in addition to liking to use them, she occasionally likes to combine her own customized oils.
Essential oils have gained popularity in the beauty industry within the last ten or so years. The catch is that, because of their extreme potency, they must be applied carefully to avoid damaging the skin.
He clarifies that mechanical techniques like cold pressing or distillation (using steam and/or water) are the two ways that essential oils are produced. Following extraction, the aromatic compounds are mixed with a carrier oil to produce a usable product.
"When it comes to skincare, essential oils offer a range of benefits, including moisturizing properties, anti-inflammatory effects, and the ability to combat certain skin conditions," according to her.
Additionally, according to Dr. Parashar, something is not always safe just because it is natural. Essential oils are only one of many bioactive substances found in plants and herbal items that might be harmful to your health. However, the majority of essential oils are regarded as safe when used topically or breathed when combined with a base oil.
"Lavender, peppermint, tea tree, and ylang-ylang are the oils most frequently linked to negative reactions," Dr. Parashar says, adding that oils containing phenols, like cinnamon, can irritate skin and should never be used alone. Citrus-based oils can also increase your skin's sensitivity to sunlight, which increases the risk of burns.
