Flying taxi is coming soon..!! Target cities with high congestion!?
The journey to Kempegowda international airport, located around 40 kilometers from Bangalore, will soon become hassle-free. Bangalore international airport (BIAL), which operates Kempegowda airport, and Sarla Aviation have signed a memorandum of understanding to provide modern aviation solutions. This alliance signifies our commitment to advanced aviation solutions in Karnataka, BIAL said in its official X registration. Sarla Aviation is targeting four of the country's most congested cities - Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and pune - to ease air traffic at its X base. Sarla Aviation said, "We are trying to make air travel as affordable as the current uber or Ola. It will be accessible to a wide range of customers and will also help avoid traffic jams.
Sarla Aviation is named after Sarla Thakral, the first indian woman to obtain a pilot's license in 1936. "Currently it takes 1.5 hours from Indira nagar to the airport. Very soon, we will reduce it to just 5 minutes with Sarla Aviation's flying taxis. I am truly impressed by the leadership at Bengaluru airport, whose vision makes young companies like us think beyond the boundaries," he wrote. Details of when this joint effort to facilitate air travel will begin have not been disclosed. But BIAL's company statement said it could be launched in 2 to 3 years. First, we need to create a prototype cab. After that we will check if the airspace capacity is intact and after that we will see how it can be operated on certain routes.
If flying taxis are introduced in areas where there is heavy traffic, it will definitely be very helpful to the public. It is believed by many that new innovations such as these will lead to increased employment opportunities.
