"I sent my condolences to the family of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and paid my final respects to him. He was a great economist who changed the course of the country at a critical juncture in history and left a lasting legacy of spearheading India's revolutionary economic reforms in the 1990s, Atishi wrote on X.

She noted that during his tenure as India's prime minister, he had demonstrated calm leadership, unflinching integrity, and a sincere dedication to the nation's citizens and their progress. "I hope his soul finds peace," she continued. "Dr. Singh's contributions to our political and economic structures have had a lasting impact, influencing contemporary india in ways that will motivate future generations." aam aadmi party leader arvind kejriwal also gave his parting homage to the former prime minister, recognizing Singh's role as a visionary leader who transformed india via economic reforms.

Dr. Singh, who was 92 years old, died thursday night at AIIMS, delhi, from age-related health issues.
