Will robots operate on patients in Bhopal AIIMS?
The All india Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the capital bhopal is now going to become even more high-tech. The AIIMS management is going to buy two robots at a cost of 60 crores. These robots will help in complex operations of patients coming alone, patients associated with the orthopedics and urology departments.
The institute's director Dr. ajay Singh said that two new robots worth Rs 60 crore are being brought for complex operations of urology and orthopedic patients, this will further increase the quality of treatment in both these departments. He said that the hospital is being continuously upgraded to provide world-class medical facilities to the patients in AIIMS, bhopal, while with the help of new technology, patients of Satna and Vidisha Medical college are also being treated from AIIMS Bhopal. Complex operations of orthopedics and urology will be done with the help of robots.
10.5 lakh OPDs in a year
According to AIIMS director Dr. ajay Singh, the result of increased facilities in AIIMS is that 10 lakh 50 thousand patients have come to OPD for treatment in a year. AIIMS bhopal has been connected to 50 health and Wellness Centers of the state with the help of e-consultancy. Under this, doctors of AIIMS and the concerned center can talk to each other for the treatment of the patient. Not only this, AIIMS doctors are providing treatment to patients admitted in the medical colleges of Satna and Vidisha through tele ICU.
