Arvind Kejriwal requests 7-day interim bail extension citing 'medical tests'
The aam aadmi party (AAP) stated that kejriwal requested the delay because he needed to undertake medical testing.
Kejriwal must submit to jail officials on june 2, the day after his interim bail is slated to expire.
While approving his temporary bail request on May 10, the supreme court directed the chief minister to surrender on june 2 and stated, "Let us not draw any parallels. He was detained in march, and it might have happened before or after. Now, after 21 days, there will be no difference. "On june 2, arvind kejriwal will surrender."
Under the interim bail rules, kejriwal is not permitted to enter the delhi Chief Minister's office or the delhi Secretariat.
Since his temporary bail, kejriwal has been tirelessly campaigning for his party.
While addressing a townhall meeting with traders and businessmen in Ferozepur, he requested support from the punjab people, stating that they must step up and lead the battle to maintain the Constitution, democracy, and freedom in our nation.
Targeting the BJP-led Centre, the AAP leader stated that some opposition politicians had been imprisoned, and "then they say, let's fight the election".
