Why Opposition Worried About Polling % Numbers?
The ECI reported that the polling percentage at 7 p.m. on april 10 was 60%, and at 7 p.m. on april 30, it reported that the polling percentage remained at 66.14 until the conclusion of the second round of polling.
Remarkably, the ECI reported in its press release at 7 p.m. on april 26, the day of the second polling phase, that 60.96 percent of the polling was recorded.
The leaders of every opposition party, including congress President mallikarjun Kharge, have received letters from him protesting the disparity in the polling percentage figures provided by the ECI. In order to preserve the spirit of democracy, he urged the leaders of the opposition to fight together against the disparity in the ECI's statistics.
Voters will have to wait and see how the opposition parties handle the situation, as well as keep an eye out for any developments in the next election stages.
