Madhavi Reddy - YSRCP scared of her in Kadapa?

SIBY JEYYA
Despite the general anti-incumbency mood towards the YSRCP, the party maintains a foothold in the kadapa district. Notwithstanding the YSRCP's dominance in the area, current reports say that there are whispers in the streets suggesting that the party may lose the kadapa Assembly sector. Anjad Basha, the deputy chief minister who has been elected twice in a row from kadapa, is encountering strong resistance from the public and the YSRCP.

Because of their adoration for the YS family, kadapa corporators had previously backed the YSRCP. However, they have now deserted to other parties, most notably the tdp, claiming their displeasure with deputy cm Anjad Basha. The seat, which had previously been controlled by congress and then the YSRCP during the YS family's rule, saw a change in 2004 when the TDP's power waned. The political scene of kadapa has changed as a result of Reddappagari madhavi Reddy, the wife of Reddappagari Srinivasulu Reddy, taking over as tdp leader.

She has become extremely well-liked, particularly among women from underrepresented areas, successfully undermining the YSRCP's hegemony. The electorate has responded well to Madhavi's strong leadership, proving that tdp can gain ground even in historically YSRCP-dominated areas. tdp leaders commend Madhavi's approach to the campaign and voice their optimism that her leadership would influence kadapa people, thereby altering the political landscape of the district.
