Because the lok sabha elections are still going on, he requested an immediate hearing. In addition, he told the bench that he would stay in jail after the election.
The jharkhand High court postponed ruling on hemant Soren's suit contesting his arrest in February. In his petition before the top court, Soren argued that his remand in the case was unlawful and arbitrary, and that his arrest was not merited.
Hemant Soren described his detention as unlawful and deceptive. hemant Soren filed the petition via attorney Pragya Baghel. He has requested temporary bail in the interim.
In January, following a protracted period of conjecture in the press, hemant Soren, the chairperson of jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), was taken into custody by the Enforcement Department (ED) in connection with the land fraud case.
