Family Star Review - The Blockbuster Combo of GG Disappoints

SIBY JEYYA
The movie begins with Mrunal narrating her flashback. Govardhan (VD) gets a simple intro and has two elder brothers. He takes care of his family and is very protective and stingy. After a confrontation scene with Mrunal Thakur, vijay deverakonda meets Jagapathi Babu. Post-Interval, the story moves to the USA. What happens next should be seen on the big screen. The movie's first half is not bad, but the first 45 minutes test your patience. The last 20 minutes of the first half are good.

It's time for VD to quit playing these repetitive template characters and venture outside of his comfort zone. His persona and acting in GG were excellent, but here they are monotonous and uninteresting. parasuram attempted to replicate the GG template structure but could not replicate the same magic. In one scenario, VD is attacked by American females who mistake him for a prostitute in the center of Times Square in New York. I'm not sure parasuram had that situation in mind when he wrote it.

Family Star is a mediocre rom-com family film with a few moments of entertainment value but no heartfelt or truly emotional moments. Up to the pre-interval, the first half is unimpressive and feels serial. The second half gets off to a more playful start but soon becomes didactic and boring. music has relatively little influence. GG's blockbuster combination falls short.

Family Star's first half takes place in a well-known location, and the newness of the lead couple is maintained with a few well-written conversations. Family Star's first half is mediocre at best; the lead duo's novelty keeps the first half together despite its well-known concept. But the second half wanes and parasuram doesn't appear to know what he was going to say. He lacks a strong storyline to elicit drama or passion.

Overall - A Big Disappointment!
