Telangana - Mercury inches towards 2016 extreme in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is now experiencing intense heat, with highs that are comparable to the terrible heat of 2016. The average maximum temperature in the city on friday was 40.2 degrees Celsius, which represents a notable increase in the summertime heat.
 
The india Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that march of 2016 was the warmest in a decade due to a similar assault of extreme heat. hyderabad registered a scorching 41.2 degrees Celsius on march 19, 2016, which was just one degree warmer than Friday's official maximum.

On friday, areas of the city were most affected by the unrelenting heat. At 42.3 degrees Celsius, areas like kukatpally sizzled, while Maredpally and the Serilingampally scorched at 41.9 degrees Celsius apiece. Rising temperatures also affected other places, such as uppal (41.7 degrees Celsius) and Borabanda (41.8 degrees Celsius).
 
Residents in hyderabad should be concerned because the high heat is expected to last for the next five days, according to the IMD's prediction.
