CM arvind kejriwal Receives a 9th Summons from ED...

In relation to the investigation into the excise policy, the Enforcement Directorate on sunday sent delhi Chief minister arvind kejriwal the ninth summons, requesting that he appear before it on Thursday, march 21. kejriwal has so far ignored eight summonses from the organization. This occurred barely one day after kejriwal was granted bail by a delhi court in response to two allegations brought by the Enforcement Directorate for his failure to appear at successive money laundering summonses.

Kejriwal was also let to leave the courtroom by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate divya Malhotra's court. It stated, "Accused arvind kejriwal is admitted to bail; offence is bailable." The investigating agency was also ordered by the court to provide kejriwal with any documents pertaining to the complaints. For the uninformed, the anti-corruption organization filed two complaints with the magistrate court, requesting that kejriwal be prosecuted for allegedly ignoring several summonses that were sent to him regarding the matter. According to PTI, the complaint concerns the aam aadmi party (AAP) national convenor's failure to comply with the federal investigative agency's summonses no. 4 through 8 issued in accordance with Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

In an apparent jab at the Centre and ED, kejriwal had earlier declared that he would construct a school for every summons that investigative agencies had against him. kejriwal took a strong stance against the bjp, accusing it of pursuing a "vinash" strategy by utilizing the ED and cbi to hunt opposition parties despite having a resounding mandate in May 2014. He charged that the bjp was stealing opposition MLAs in an attempt to overthrow their administration and impeding their otherwise excellent work. He further asserted that a scheme to put him in jail was being planned and that the bjp intended to destroy the Aam Aadmi Party.
