Marriage in Ramzan - Is nikah permissible in the holy month?

Many individuals don't know if it's acceptable in islam to be married in the month of Ramadan or to perform nikah. It's also a common misconception that marriage is forbidden in islam during the holy month. Still, this is only a myth.
 

Confusion surrounding marriage in Ramzan

Despite the widespread belief that weddings should not take place during Ramadan, many people are unaware of the exact Islamic prohibition against performing nikah during the holy month.
 
The Islamic faith, which views marriage as a fortunate event in everyone's life, does not prohibit individuals from getting married during Ramadan.
 
Nonetheless, the newlyweds must abstain from any actions that would compromise the sacredness of the month.
 
In light of the possibility that the newlyweds would partake in activities that are forbidden while fasting, several religious authorities advise delaying marriage if at all feasible. islam does not, however, forbid marriage during Ramadan.
