Telangana CM launches Indiramma housing scheme - Calls BRS’ 2BHK ‘farce’

SIBY JEYYA
On Monday, march 11, chief minister Revanth reddy inaugurated the Indiramma Housing plan in Bhadrachalam. Applicants who already own land would get financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh under the initiative. For women recipients, the government would also assist in obtaining house pattas or house titles. The Praja Palana application must be submitted to participate in the plan.

The chief minister referred to the 2BHK housing program of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) as a "farce" during the scheme's launch. He claimed that under the guise of giving housing, previous chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) misled the populace. "BRS should seek votes in the villages where the 2BHK scheme was sanctioned, and congress will seek votes where Indiramma houses are being constructed," chief minister Revanth reddy remarked, posing a direct challenge to KCR.

Four lakh Indiramma houses sanctioned: CM

Giving more information, chief minister Revanth reddy stated that up to 4,50,000 Indiramma homes had been approved, costing Rs. 22,500 crores. "To fulfill the dream of owning a house by all sections of the poor is the objective of launching the Indiramma housing scheme," he stated.

The chief minister stated, "The Indiramma Housing scheme is being launched from here because the congress shares a special bond with khammam district."

One of six guarantees

One of the six promises made by the congress party during the previous year's assembly election campaign is the Indiramma Housing plan.

The party had earlier introduced the Mahalakshmi plan, which offered free TSRTC bus travel for women and transgender women and an LPG home cylinder refill of Rs 500/-on holders of White Ration Cards (Food Security Cards).

Additionally, it introduced the free power under the 200-unit Gruha jyothi plan.
