Today, prime minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to wrap up his two-day tour of Kerala, tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra. He will be inaugurating and laying the groundwork for a number of development projects. Modi visited the vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) in thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, the first stop of his tour of Kerala. Modi launched three major space infrastructure projects there, totalling over ₹1,800 crore. Afterwards, he gave four astronaut-designates "astronaut wings" and evaluated the Gaganyaan Mission's progress.

After arriving in tamil Nadu in the afternoon, Modi attended the madurai event "Creating the Future – wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital Mobility for Automotive MSME Entrepreneurs." Here, he introduced two programs designed to support MSMEs in the automobile sector in India.

Tamil Nadu with PM Modi

In Thoothukudi, tamil Nadu, Modi will launch and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects valued at nearly ₹17,300 crore on february 28 at roughly 9:45 a.m. The prime minister will lay the cornerstone for the Outer Harbor Container Terminal at V.O. Chidambaranar Port during the public event in Thoothukudi. He will also launch a number of initiatives to make the V.O. Chidambaranar Port the nation's first Green Hydrogen Hub Port. These projects include bunkering facilities, hydrogen production facilities, and a desalination plant.

In addition, the prime minister will introduce the Harit Nauka program, which will see the first domestic green hydrogen fuel cell inland waterway vessel built in India, and dedicate tourist amenities at 75 lighthouses located throughout ten States and Union Territories.

The program will also include rail projects for the doubling of the Vanchi Maniyachchi - Nagercoil rail line, including the sections between Melappalayam and Aralvaymoli and Vanchi Maniyachchi - Tirunelveli. The purpose of these initiatives, which were created at an approximate cost of ₹1,477 crore, is to shorten the time it takes for trains from Kanyakumari, Nagercoil, and tirunelveli to reach Chennai.
