Hyderabad going to have underground tunnels ?

SIBY JEYYA
According to reports, the telangana administration has suggested building many subterranean tunnels in hyderabad to relieve traffic congestion. Five different stories claim that tunnel proposals have been made.

Jubilee Hills Road number 45 and banjara hills Road number 3 will be connected by one of the proposed tunnels. Planning is underway underneath KBR Park. The concept was initially proposed when BRS was in office. It is once again the emphasis of the present administration. The estimated cost of the tunnel is around Rs 3,000 crore.

The other tunnels proposed in hyderabad are the following:
• ITC Kohenur to wipro junction (via Khajaguda, Nanakramguda)
•  ITC Kohenur to JNTU junction (via Mindspace Junction)
•  ITC Kohenur to banjara hills Road No.10 (via jubilee hills Road No.45)
•  GVK1 Mall to Nanalnagar (via Masab Tank)

Objections over a tunnel under KBR National Park

Environmentalists, on the other hand, are against the idea of digging beneath KBR National Park. The activists have fiercely opposed the project, citing possible ecological damages. It is anticipated to be India's longest tunnel road if built. However, there hasn't been any formal confirmation of Hyderabad's subterranean tunnels as of yet.
